B&Q boosts garden with three appointments

B&Q has made three new appointments to its seasonal team in order to strengthen its gardening and outdoor offer.
Tim Clapp joins as lead buyer for horticulture and garden care, with over 20 years of experience in the horticulture sector. He was previously head of horticulture at Wyevale Garden Centres. At B&Q, his responsibilities will include overseeing B&Q's range of plants, compost and garden care products.

Mike Norman, who has worked at B&Q for nearly six years, assumes the role of lead buyer for garden maintenance, having formerly held positions in direct sourcing management. Before joining B&Q, he held various senior buying roles in Homebase and Wickes.

Sophie Gehin joins B&Q as lead buyer for style and leisure, with her remit covering Christmas, pots, garden furniture and barbecues. She specialises in Far East sourcing and worked previously at Wyevale Garden Centres as the furniture and barbecue buyer.
