Employee bound and held at gunpoint, while assailant stole cash from the safe at Woburn Sands garden centre on Monday morning.
The 34-year old member of staff was accosted while opening up the garden centre premises in Newport Road just after 6.30am on Monday, December 12. The robber, described as a 5ft 7in male of stocky build, threatened the employee and forced him at gunpoint to open up an area of the premises where the safe is kept. He then stole an unknown quantity of cash and fled the scene by forcing his way out of a fire exit. It is believed he then escaped on foot across fields in the direction of Wavendon Gate.

The Frosts employee was left shaken but unharmed following the incident, which is being investigated by Milton Keynes CID. Police have limited information about the suspect's appearance, as he was dressed all in black and had his face covered during the robbery. They are currently appealing for further information.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Luke Grove, based at Milton Keynes CID, said: "This was a very frightening ordeal for the victim who was thankfully not harmed. His hands were bound during the incident but he managed to free himself to raise the alarm. I am appealing for anyone who saw a man walking or running across fields in the area of the garden centre, either before or following the incident, to come forward."
