Published: 4 September 2013
Andrew Weiss, vice president of the Rainy Day Trust board, is getting warmed up for his stint as president by undertaking a mammoth, international cycle ride in aid of the DIY and housewares industry charity.

His route will take him 750 miles, from Kingston to Portsmouth and then on to the finish in the Algarve. The ride starts on September 24 and is scheduled to end on October 6.

Already in training, Andrew has secured a shirt sponsor in the form of Benchmark Retail Services. "Benchmark has been fantastic," said Mr Weiss, "and I'm hoping that I can secure a few other generous supporters to help me raise funds for such a good cause. In the meantime keep your eyes peeled for me cycling around the local lanes!"

Anyone wanting to support Mr Weiss can either get in touch with him direct or visit www.justgiving.com/andrewweisstoportugal.
