Abus appoints sales director

Published: 5 January 2009
David Hudson has been appointed sales director of Abus following a 20% increase in Abus sales during 2008.
Abus appoints sales director
Mr Hudson joined the company in 2007 from Carl Kammerling International and has experience on both sides of the retail fence having cut his teeth as a trainee manager for Robert Dyas.

Abus UK md Nick Vanderhoest said of the appointment: "Persuading David to join us at Abus was relatively easy. The difficult bit was convincing David that he should relinquish his sales agency in favour of becoming our sales director, as he is such a successful salesman.

But David wanted very much to be a part of our ambitious plans for the Abus brand in the next few years and we needed David to work his magic nationally. With David as our sales director we have the right team in the right positions to reach our goals.
