4Lite launches the world’s thinnest LED strip

Lighting brand, 4lite, has had a break-through in micro-lighting and successfully designed and created the world’s thinnest LED Strip Light. The 4lite ‘Lite Light’, measures in with just 0.01mm width, thinner than a strand of human hair and almost invisible to the naked eye - until you switch it on.
Developed by the brand’s in-house innovation team, the ultra-slim strip is so discreet it can be installed virtually anywhere, providing seamless illumination without any visible hardware or clunky wiring.
To maintain its seamless design, the 4lite Lite Light activates automatically using ultra-sensitive ambient and high-tech motion sensors, illuminating the space the moment natural light drops, or someone enters the room – with no switches or visible controls required. The resulting light payoff is the perfect soft, ambient glow that appears to come from nowhere – creating what 4lite describes as “lighting that looks like pure magic”.
The breakthrough technology has seen engineers push the boundaries of micro-lighting to achieve what was previously thought impossible - the world’s thinnest strip light.
“We wanted to design lighting that disappears entirely into its surroundings,” said Lou Mens, Head of Innovation at 4lite. “With the 4lite Lite Light, you get beautifully lit spaces without seeing the light source at all. It’s minimalism taken to the extreme.”
Because the strip itself is invisible, installation requires a ‘Precision Placement Kit’ including a magnifying glass, micro-tweezers and a very steady hand.
According to 4lite, early testers reported accidentally losing the light during installation, simply because they couldn’t see it once it had been removed from the packaging.
Lou Mens added, “The 4lite Lite Light is expected to be particularly popular among interior designers looking to achieve ultra-clean lines, minimalists who believe visible lighting is ‘simply too much’, and anyone who has ever wished their LED strip lights were just a little less visible.”
The 4lite Lite Light is available from 1st April now via the 4lite website. For more information, visit www.4liteuk.com.
