Wilmslow Garden Centre has reopened following last June's devastating fire at the Cheshire outlet.
The centre, which was one of the largest in The Klondyke Group, has been completely rebuilt.

Klondyke marketing manager Abbie McHolm told diyweek.net that the new outlet is the same size as before. "But it's brighter and more modern," she said. "It has the same facilities: we've got a craft and clothing shop that were there already and the aquatic concession has come back in again. There is also a pet shop and we've got a restaurant and coffee shop that's larger, with 180 covers."

Last year's blaze completely destroyed the garden centre. Seventy firefighters were required to bring the fire under control.

No one was injured in the fire, and staff were relocated to other Klondyke centres during the closure of the Wilmslow outlet.

Commenting on the re-opening, Klondyke chief executive Bob Hewitt said: "We're extremely pleased with the new garden centre and have received very positive feedback from the customers."

He added: "I would like to thank all of our staff for their hard work prior to the re-launch."
