Dragon's Den entrepreneur Theo Paphitis, who took over DIY chain Robert Dyas last year, is reportedly in the running to purchase failed retailers HMV, Jessops and Blockbuster.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, Mr Paphitis revealed he had held talks with Deloitte and PwC, administrators for the collapsed businesses. He told the national: "My interest for HMV harks from an era that thinks what a great brand. Often I have looked at things and thought is there something there?

"Also I could put a Dyas or a Ryman in some of its stores, and am also talking to the administrator of Jessops where I have identified some shops, as well as Blockbuster."

Deloitte and PwC are reportedly in talks with up to 20 individuals interested in taking on HMV, Jessops and Blockbuster.
