Work underway on Dobbies at Southport

Work is now well underway on the £10m state-of-the-art Garden World at Bentham's Way in Southport.
Set to open in March 2008, the roof of the building is in place and work has just commenced on the 55,000 sq ft garden centre.
The 15 acre site, located on the eastern edge of the town, occupies a rural position within Sefton, Liverpool.
The new Garden World comprises an indoor and outdoor plant and gardening area, a Farm Foodhall and deli boasting locally-sourced fresh and organic produce, a specialist aquatics department, bath and home products, a large restaurant with conservatory, and a visitor attraction called The Greenhouse that will give visitors the opportunity to find out about plants.
Dobbies has appointed Chris Du Toit, from a centre in Milton Keynes as general manager.
