Plumbers merchant chain Wolseley UK has released a statement clarifying reports about the sale of its North Yorkshire regional distribution centre.
Real estate investment trust Tritax Big Box has purchased the freehold interest at Wolseley's Melmerby distribution centre only. This is leased on a long-term basis by Wolseley and remains a key component of the company's supply chain. Wolseley says the change in landlord has no impact on Wolseley UK operationally.

References in earlier reports to Ripon, where Wolseley UK has an office and warehouse operation, were made in error.
