Industry charity the Rainy Day Trust is £200 better off thanks to the generosity of members of United Housewares Merchants and their suppliers.
An afternoon's karting at UHM's annual corporate event on June 4/5 ended with a five-lap race in aid of the charity, won by a team captained by Meyer Group's Martin Davison.
To mark UHM's 40th birthday, cabaret at the dinner featured the tribute band the Fab Beatles - the originals were no 1 in the charts when UHM was founded by Charles Burton in September 1968.
