The industry loses a popular character

Steve Bood, who was a senior sales manager at Keter, died suddenly last Saturday, January 25, at the age of 54.
Mr Bood worked for the manufacturing company and had national account responsibility that included Homebase, Wilkinsons, Costco and Makro. Outside of his 13 years with Keter, he was also known for his work with Curver, Euro United and Polycell.
The tributes paid since his passing emphasise the fondness and high regard with which Mr Bood was held in the DIY and garden trade. Those at Keter said he was a large man in stature but he was even bigger in his character and heart.
Outside of work, Mr Bood was a lifelong supporter and season ticket holder of Manchester United. He was also heavily involved with his local village cricket club as a first team player, junior coach and club chairman.
His funeral will take place at Blackley Crematorium in Manchester at 2pm next Friday, February 7, with all invited for drinks at Littleborough Cricket Club afterwards.
