Suppliers show support for industry charity

Published: 14 November 2010
Henkel Consumer Adhesives and Ultimate Products are the latest suppliers to throw their support behind the Rainy Day Trust, the charity of the hardware trade.
Henkel has joined the Trust as a corporate member, and Ultimate Products has promised a donation.

"We are delighted to support the invaluable work of the Rainy Day Trust," said Henkel Consumer Adhesives md Simon Duggan-Hill. "Their work with the home improvement industry professionals and their families is not just important, it is reflective of the tone of an industry that strives to care for and protect its members. For more than 130 years, our brands have combined top quality with respect for people and the environment, and our work with the Rainy Day Trust will enable us to further support the needs of our professionals and colleagues."

Ultimate Products, meanwhile, decided to support the Trust with a cash donation. "We decided to donate £1,000 to the Trust because we believe that is an admirable charity that does a great deal of work in the industry," said Ultimate's founder and ceo Simon Showman."We felt that is was very appropriate for us to support a charity that looks after employees and families of the hardware, housewares, diy and builders merchant industries."
