Family-run Squire’s Garden Centres has launched a new specially-designed kitchen pod at its Chertsey centre, having just revamped the café at its Badshot Lea branch.

The new pod at Chertsey extends the current kitchen, allowing the centre to offer an enhanced menu, including Squire’s popular cooked breakfast. The site also benefits from a new-look Café Bar, which Squire’s is in the process of rolling out across the rest of its estate.

The latest eatery to be refurbed within the Squire’s portfolio was Badshot Lea. The new-look Café Bar now boasts stylish décor and beautiful new furniture, “with comfy seats and cosy corners to relax in”, explained the company. It has also introduced a new waffle station.

There’s also a separate children’s area called ‘Young Gardeners’ with new child-sized seating, a wall full of games and activities, and a special menu just for little ones.

Squire’s deputy chairman Sarah Squire said: “We are very pleased with our new seating areas in the Café Bar at Squire’s in Badshot Lea, and have had great feedback from customers already, which we really value. Our team is very passionate about what they do, and they pride themselves on offering delicious food combined with great customer service.”

Squire’s currently operates 16 garden centres across Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire, Middlesex, North and West London. The independent business, which has been run by the Squire family for 82 years, posted sales of £47.5million in FY16/17; up 6% on the previous year.

In August, the group announced the acquisition of Frensham Garden Centre from Weelhouse Warehousing. Work has been ongoing at the site to bring it in line with the rest of the Squire's portfolio, with a preview evening showcasing the results this week.
