Tiling accessories brand Homelux has launched a quick and easy-to-fit Waterproofing Kit which is perfect for permanently waterproofing tiled shower and bath areas.
100% waterproof, the kits comprise wall matting, flexible joint tape and bath and shower seal. Installed correctly, the kit will solve the problem of tiling always being permeable even if traditional water resistant grouts, waterproof tile adhesives and sealants have been used.
Thanks to its jointed nature, moisture cannot penetrate or be absorbed by the substrates behind. This prevents damp patches on ceilings or expensive water damage to surfaces. With tiling joints vulnerable to normal subsidence in buildings, a waterproof layer between substrate and tiling becomes even more critical.
The kits come in a choice of 5m² and 10m² kits and once applied can be tiled over immediately with no waiting or drying time.
