Peat-free momentum drives sales at Bord na Móna

Published: 14 April 2014
Bord na Móna UK has ended its financial year 2013/14 showing a 36% rise in its branded sales year on year.
The company says the growth reflects its one-stop-shop approach to peat-free and peat-reduced growing media with its Vital Earth and Growise brands. In a static market, it also shows Bord na Móna UK taking share from competitors.

Commenting on the rise in sales, head of consumer UK, Steve Harper said: "This is all down to supplying a consistently quality product that delivers for consumers as well as being in tune with the market's gradual shift towards peat reduction."

Bord na Móna UK's parent company drives initiatives in green electricity, fuels, resource recovery, water and horticulture in Ireland, where it leads the way in peat reduction through its Contract with Nature programme.
