Morphy Richards gains EEAS recognition for energy saving

Assessor praises company for energy management and team work.
Morphy Richards' Energy Management team has achieved national recognition for achievements in energy efficiency under the Energy Efficiency Accreditation Scheme (EEAS).

EEAS is the UK's independent benchmark for energy efficiency, owned by the Carbon Trust, managed by The National Energy Foundation and independently moderated by the Energy Institute.

EEAS assessor Mike Steele was impressed by the energy management at Morphy Richards and praised the team for their hard work.

Phil Green, ceo of Morphy Richards said: "As we come to understand better what sustainable development means for us, we are increasingly finding it offers the key to our future prosperity. Successful brands of the future will be those that both satisfy the needs of consumers and address their concerns about the environment."

Morphy Richards now joins a network of more than 200 organisations accredited under the scheme for their active reduction of carbon dioxide emissions.

Achieving accreditation means maintaining and improving on good practice in energy management, keeping up to date with new energy saving initiatives and encouraging staff and the public to be energy aware.
