IHA to host congress at National Hardware Show

Published: 15 June 2010
The 2011 International Hardware Association Biennial Congress will be held during the show in Las Vegas in May.
The event had originally been scheduled to occur in July in Washington, D.C but will now take place at the Las Vegas Convention Centre and the IHA host hotel on May 10-12, 2011.

While the congress was set to be held in conjunction with the NRHA Annual Convention, an agreement by the hosting association, the North American Retail Hardware Association and the National Hardware Show to co-locate their two events in Las Vegas, saw IHA's managing committee take the decision to move the congress along with NRHA's event.

Organisers believe that moving the event to the National Hardware Show will allow delegates to visit one of the world's leading home improvement trade shows, while at the congress.

It has also been announced that managing director of the NRHA Bill Lee will take over as secretary-General of IHA in May 2011, replacing current secretary general Jonathan Swift.
