Ideal Standard acquisitions

Ideal Standard International has announced the purchase of four subsidiaries of Irish firm Qualceram Shires for an undisclosed sum.
The subsidiaries that have changed hands are Shires Ireland, Quay Bathrooms, Quality Ceramics (Arklow) and Quality Ceramics (Sales). As part of the deal Ideal Standard has acquired the intellectual property rights of Qualceram Shires' brands, including Qualceram, Shires, Selecta and Trent Bathrooms.

Ideal Standard International ceo Marc Valentiny said of the purchase: "The acquisition of Qualceram and Shires is a reflection of Ideal Standard International's strategy to invest in our core markets and strengthen our business for the future. We believe this offers an attractive opportunity to further enhance our market positions in Ireland and the UK."
