Homebase store in Omagh saved from closure

Homebase's new owners already confirmed that up to
700 would be saved following its takeover
The store was first threatened with closure back in December 2015 as part of former owner Home Retail Group's plan to close more than 300 underperforming outlets. It's not the first store to have been saved by Homebase's new Australian owner Bunnings.
The Australian retailer, owned by Wesfarmers, is planning to transform the 256 Homebase outlets into Bunnings warehouses, starting in October. It has not yet been confirmed which store will be first, but it has been reported that Homebase in Plymouth will be among the first Bunnings transformations.
