Published: 2 September 2013
A record number of 371,000 cookshop catalogues have been ordered by Home Hardware retailers.

The number is 35% up on the previous year, with 35 additional retailers supporting the publication.

Launched last year, the 56-page catalogue aims to encourage new and existing customers into the stores by promoting Home Hardware members as serious cookshop and housewares retailers. It features everyday in-store prices and unlike other Home Hardware consumer promotions, is not price-aggressive. It also features cooking and baking tips and recipes.

Beverley Wood, Home Hardware's marketing manager, said: "The catalogue offers a totally different model to our usual brochure design, and retailers have really embraced the concept."
