HMG Paints win Corporate Social Responsibility Award

Published: 9 December 2019 - John King

HMG Paints has won the Corporate Social Responsibility Award at the 10th annual British Coatings Federation Awards evening. This is the second time HMG have taken home this award since the CSR Award’s inaugural year in 2017.

Held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, East Midlands Airport, UK, the evening saw a record number of entries for each award category with new categories launched, including Apprentice of the Year, in which Shannon Williams of HMG Paints was a finalist amongst other entries of rising stars in the industry.

“We are astonished to have won this award for the second time, and against such tough competition. It's great to see the industry making their mark and focusing heavily on Corporate Social Responsibility. We are humbled to be recognised above the rest in this area,” said Gracienne Ikin, digital sales and communications manager, HMG Paints.

HMG Paints marketing manager, Stephen Dyson was a finalist on the evening in the Young Leader of the Year category for this continued dedication to the development of peers and his efforts launching a digital transformation of the family business. Dyson has worked at HMG since leaving school, contributing 16 years of service. This year he became the youngest, non-family member of the senior management board.

This win follows the recent success of HMG Paints, winning the Business of the Year at the Manchester Evening News Awards and finance director, Candice Brett, who was named Finance Director of the Year at the North West Finance Awards.
