Highfield Garden World receives planning nod

Published: 6 December 2012
Major developments including the relocation and expansion of a Greenways Restaurant, and more than 5,000sq m of extra retail space at Gloucestershire-based Highfields Garden World have been given the green light.
The new look restaurant at the garden centre will be set in a large, attractive building with far-reaching views over the surrounding countryside. The 5,300sq m unrestricted 'A1 retail covered heated sales space' will be complemented with an extension to the customer car park.

Planning permission for the changes was secured from Stroud District Council by Malcolm Scott Consultants, who worked with owners Joan and Tim Greenway on the plans. It means the centre is now in the position to attract "top flight concessions to make [it] truly a year round weather-proof retail experience."
