Henry Squire & Son joins BHETA

Published: 16 May 2016
The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) has welcomed new member Henry Squire, the only independent family owned lock makers in the UK.
With eight generations involved since trading started in 1780, Squire offers unrivalled experience in lockmaking and now supplies some of the most innovative - and patented - new lock designs in the market.

With the substantial investment in new state of the art buildings and capital plant the company is committed to new product development and has one of the largest and most comprehensive ranges of padlocks and two-wheel locks in the world. This covers the full spectrum of security needs from basic luggage to high security applications. Squire products are also available in the USA.

BHETA's DIY sector director Paul Grinsell commented: "This is great news. Henry Squire & Son epitomises British manufacture and supply. It is an iconic brand with an amazing combination of history and commitment to the future. The brand will be a real asset to BHETA's credentials in representing the industry to the top retailers in the UK and overseas."
