Grovewell Garden Centre has acquired its third centre at Hawkinge, near Folkestone, and says it is on target to be open for business by May.
The site was previously home to McFarlanes Garden and Butterfly Nursery. Grovewell director Edward Boult said: "We are very excited by this acquisition. After three very strong trading years it's great to add a third centre to the mix."
Operations manager Paul Dye added: "We have a lot of work ahead of us but we will have the first phase of the Plant Area open to the public in just over a month."
Grovewell has two existing garden centres already - one in Tenterden which has been run by Mr Boult and the Grovewell team since April 1999, and purpose-built Canterbury garden centre, which opened in Easter 2009.
Plans are in place for an aquatic centre and Groves coffee shop and restaurant at the new centre. Centre manager Paul Smith said: "We aim to build on the success and reputation of Canterbury and Tenterden garden centres. We've been overwhelmed by the support from staff and locals so far and I'm really looking forward to building a centre we can all be proud of."
