Published: 5 September 2013
Neil Gow announced today that he will be stepping down as director of the Garden Industry Manufacturers' Association in the New Year.
GIMA director Neil Gow to step down
After seven years in the role, Mr Gow has decided to resign and, "explore other opportunities within the industry", according to GIMA. He will continue to run the association until February 2014 when his successor will take over.

Vicky Nuttall, current GIMA president and head of marketing at Forest Garden said: "On behalf of the GIMA council and membership I would like to take this opportunity to thank Neil for all the hard work and dedication he has shown over the years. He leaves the association in a strong financial position with a healthy membership and portfolio of events."

Mr Gow added: "It's business as usual for GIMA until I hand over to my successor. I've still got plenty of events that I want to deliver, such as the Glee Buyer Connect event and the Day Conference in November."

GIMA will be taking the opportunity to review the role and the Association's requirements, and an announcement will be made later in the month regarding its plans for recruiting Mr Gow's replacement.
