Garden sundries supplier Gardman has signed a deal for 242,000sq ft of new warehouse space in West Lynn, close to its main warehouse operations in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.

Operations director John Brindle said: "It's key for us to ensure that we hold sufficient stock for our retail customers and as we are in a growth phase, it's imperative that we have sufficient space. Even though we have released some space at Ely, the new warehouse represents a net gain of around 100,000sq ft."

He added: "It's not often that the right space becomes available in the right location, but the timing was ideal and we will be in an excellent position for next year's trading."

The proximity of the new space also means distribution is more efficient both in terms of cost and road miles, said the company.
