Gardman announces new MD

Published: 31 October 2008
Gardman has confirmed that current managing director Andy Bestwick will leave the company after Christmas. Mark Pearson who takes up the ceo position next Monday (November 3) will replace him.
Mr Pearson joins from Techtronic Industries where his roles included md of the Ryobi business and chief operating officer of the European division.

The announcement follows the recent news that Jane Lawler, formerly of Bayer Garden, will also join Gardman on November 3 to take over from John Stratford as head of marketing.

Gardman chairman Paris Nadar said: "We are immensely grateful to Andy for everything he has done for Gardman during his eleven year tenure, as well as the orderly way in which he has advised and planned his exit. We wish him well in all his future endeavours. At the same time we are looking forward to Mark and Jane joining the team and to the fresh approach they will bring."
