Dulux urges Brits to get back into decorating
It is introducing a Let's Colour Guarantee and kicking off a series of Let's Colour Weekends this weekend, October 26 and 27, at retail stores, including B&Q and Homebase. Offering a range of promotional offers across its products, Dulux will be hosting pop-up Let's Colour Surgeries, where consumers can enjoy colour and interior design consultations from the brand's designers and colour experts.

The Let's Colour Surgeries will be led by Dulux ambassador and experienced interior designer, Jo Hamilton, who will be based at the flagship Surgery at Homebase, Finchley Road, London. Dulux says that the introduction of its Let's Colour Guarantee will provide consumer confidence towards decorating with colour; it allows customers to apply for a complimentary replacement tin of paint, if they're not happy with their chosen colour, so they can be happy with the end result.

Ms Hamilton commented: "Decorating can be a really simple, cost effective and rewarding process, but many are put off because they feel overwhelmed with choice and are anxious not to make mistakes. Colour is a fantastic way to completely transform a space, so it's important to have the confidence to play with colour.

"The wonderful thing about our Dulux Let's Colour Guarantee is that it allows consumers to be bold with that first step towards colour and if they're not happy, they can simply change it at no extra cost."

The Dulux Let's Colour Weekend comes as a new study by the paint brand revealed half of Brits avoid inviting friends and family to their home because they are embarrassed of it, that one in three claim their love life is suffering and there is an estimated £570bn of wasted property across the UK - due to rooms that Brits will not use.

The campaign is being promoted through TV and print advertising, with further Weekends to be announced at key trading periods across 2014 and beyond.
