Pinterest, the website that allows people to upload their own images and browse other people's, says DIY is now users' favourite topic.
According to a report in The Guardian, Pinterest has seen the number of users in the UK double over the past year, with1.6bn items 'pinned'.
And DIY is driving the boom. Pinterest says that 52% of users are searching for images under that heading, while 46% are looking for recipes.
In terms of people building their own 'pinboards', 37% are planning home decorations.
