Aggregates supplier Deco-Pak is increasing its production capacity by 30% following an investment in its on-site manufacturing and packaging machinery.
The new plant - a vertical form fill and fully-automated palletising system - will help Deco-Pak place over £250,000 of stock on the ground each week.
The company has also confirmed that its stock levels have been boosted to ensure optimal supply throughout the key spring and early summer period, including the inevitable May Bank Holiday demand. This process began in late 2014, with over £1m-worth of stock confirmed to be available by early spring.
Three new sales representatives also recently joined the team, and Deco-Pak will shortly be launching its redesigned merchandising stands for core ranges. The Chelsea Garden range of growing media will also have a new look for the 2015 season, including revamped packaging and point-of-sale.
Deco-Pak said that "early season sales have been incredibly strong".
