Garden tools and accessories company Darlac says it has had another record-breaking start to its financial year, with trade sales up by 49% in the first five months of trading.
It is now supplying to more independent garden centres than ever before, with the latest to include Haynes of Challow, Millhill Tools, WC Baker, Bybrook Barn and Burgess& Randall.

"Although Darlac has been trading for 50 years, it's only in the last few years that the trade side of the business has really started to come into its own," said managing director Peter Darban, "and Glee this year was an excellent show once again for us."

To celebrate the company's 50th anniversary, Darlac has produced a gold limited edition ratchet pruner to add to its collection.
