Clas Ohlson signs contract for Reading store
Clas Ohlson, which describes itself as the usefulshopp, has signed an agreement to lease a new store in the main shopping area of Broad Street in Reading.

The new store benefits from 1,900 sq m of retail space and is scheduled to open in November, around the same time as the chain's new Kingston branch.

Clas Ohlson, which opened its first UK store in Croydon at the end of last year, plans to open between 15 and 20 new stores during the 2009/2010 financial year. Between four and eight of these are set to be in the UK.

The company currently has 11 new stores under contract, taking its total number of branches in the UK, Sweden, Norway and Finland to 119.
