BBC presenter to compere 2008 Industry Awards

BBC news reporter, Louisa Preston, will be the compere for next month’s 2008 Industry Awards.
Louisa, who presents the news for BBC London and BBC Breakfast News, is following in a distinguished line-up of news presenters to spearhead the industry's showpiece at The Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.

The two previous comperes have been Sian Williams and Lucy Alexander.

Louisa started her career as a production journalist for ITV News. Based in the newsroom, she reported and edited for Channel 5 News, ITV News, ITV News Channel and ITN Radio.

She also co-presented the weeknight debate programme on Channel 5 with Kirsty Young and was a Channel 5 news presenter.

The awards take place on Friday, May 9.
