B&Q extends Scottish offer

Published: 2 November 2009
Home improvement retailer, announces expansion of installation services available to customers in Scotland.
B&Q extends Scottish offer
The move has seen B&Q's current installations services for kitchens and bathrooms extended to flooring, tiling, hanging doors, garage doors, installing fires and electrical replacement such as sockets and light fittings.

The services were introduced to all 32 stores in Scotland by the end of last month. Every store now has had a dedicated service desk installed in each relevant section and will be run by a dedicated member of staff.

B&Q and Kingfisher UK ceo Euan Sutherland said; "Our research has shown that there is a gap in the market for these installation services which build on our existing kitchen and bathroom installations services. Customers can trust B&Q to carry out those installation projects that they may find more difficult to do themselves or just haven't the time to arrange from hanging a door, to laying flooring and installing a fire."

Prices for the services will range from £50 to carpet a whole room to be carpeted, with no minimum or maximum size restrictions, to £220 for a replacement front door and door frame.
