Security specialist Abus has been named Most Innovative Brand of the Year at Germany's Plus X Award - the highest accolade the award jury can give.
The company enjoyed success in the Electro and Media Technology category with its new Secvest radio alarm system and new DIY CCTV Compact Digital Recorder Sets.
The award adds to a series of other national and international accolades Abus has already received this year, including four Red Dot design awards, an iF design award, entry into the Lexicon of German Global Market Leaders, and the Brand of the Century award.
Abus has now picked up the Plus X Award for the second time, having won it in 2013.
Abus group marketing director Christian Rothe and PR manager of the company's CCTV division Florian Lauw accepted the award in the history-steeped assembly room of the first German parliament in Bonn.
The company says this further international accolade establishes its goal to be a world security icon.
