A new range of hand 'super' tools for professionals - from Hafele
Protool products are a brand that is part of the Festool stable of TT Tooltechnic AG in Germany and are built to very high standards of engineering precision for hard use and durability - many individual models carry a three year guarantee.

Protool products are developed and built to cover stone, concrete and brick construction applications, the broad spread of carpentry and timber joinery plus the needs of the painting and finishing trades. These powerful and robust hand tools, says Hafele sales director Ray Fisher, are part of a huge range which includes high-torque drills with a versatile range of accessories in support plus economical and practical special solutions.

The range of drills includes the multi-tasking DSP 12 E cordless screwdriver impact drill with a keyless chuck and build standards that meet longer working demands with top quality NiMH cells and higher 3.0ah battery capacity. A dual-speed gearbox introduces variable speed controls plus six variable torque rates and a single clutch position for impact drilling work.

An additional collection of very tough drill models includes a rotary hammer, a rotary hammer drill with a chiseling extension, and the drilling and fastening QuaDrill system of ultra-high torque performance achieved through revolutionary gearing design. Each of these Protool products is built to meet the standards of professional building and construction users and is designed for double handed usage and ultra heavy work loads.

Two keyless chuck options come from Protool, each 3/8" - 24 UNF and with two range alternatives - 1.0 - 10mm and 1.5 - 13mm. Adaptors are also available for 3/8" - 1/2"with a magnetic ring for socket heads, a dedicated fast-change socket head adaptor and an angle adaptor with a 43mm collar and FastFix connector.

In addition to drilling systems and accessories, the Protool range from Hafele includes straight and angle grinders or cutters plus a range of surface restoration tools that also includes stirrers, and dust extraction modules. Timber cutting technology encompasses circular saws, a hand-held band saw, mortisers, notchers and planers and a chain saw for carpentry applications.

A universal MDU battery charger is available from Hafele with a three stage control system to ensure optimum charging speed and maximum battery life. And a selection of tooling includes long life drill bits, rotary and chiseling hammers, dowel cutters, straight and angle grinder tooling plus a huge range of blades for the saws.
