BHETA launches free international trade advice service

Published: 20 January 2023 - Neil Mead

BHETA has launched a free helpline and business support service for members covering any question related to international trade. This includes:

  • excise
  • customs computer systems
  • DEFRA requirements
  • UK/EU VAT
  • finance and payment methods
  • dangerous goods
  • USA ITAR rules
  • managing agents and distributors

All BHETA members need to do is contact BHETA service provider, Strong & Herd, to pose their questions which can cover worldwide issues as well as questions nearer to home such as those arising from BREXIT.  Strong & Herd was formed in 1995 and is a ‘one-stop-shop’ for any international trade question or export training, export support, import training and customs compliance requirement. https://www.strongandherd.co.uk/what-we-do.

Commenting on the new BHETA service, BHETA’s marketing director, Steve Richardson said, “In recent years, exporting and importing has become a much more complicated business for UK businesses, with members reporting delays and challenges following new arrangements since the UK left the EU.  I’m delighted that BHETA can now offer members an easy to access service giving advice on the issues which can arise.”

More information can be found on the BHETA website www.bheta.co.uk or from Rajni Kaur from the BHETA Member Services Team on 0121 237 1130 / email rk@bheta.co.uk.
