The plastic housewares manufacturer recently teamed up with Lancaster-based charity Olive Branch to lend a helping hand with its food bank scheme.

The charity contacted What More UK after finding a need for collection bins to help gather food donations and then give them out to needy families and homeless people.

What More's sales office manager Jennifer Makin said: "Olive Branch particularly wanted bins without lids for using at collection points in churches, doctors surgeries and schools. We were happy to help and we have donated 50 bins and each has a capacity of 50 litres.

"We wish the charity every success with their future and vital work they undertake in the community."

Olive Branch's Christopher Wiffen added that demand for food had "substantially increased" recently, and they estimate distributing over 700 hampers this year.
