As part of the move the company has created a new website, victoriaplum.com, which it says is faster and easier to use and which is compatible with PCs, mobiles and tablets.

It also offers advice on buying bathrooms, making recommendations according to customers' tastes, requirements and bathroom size.

The new bedroom range will launch soon, with the retailer promising "the very best designs at internet prices".

Commenting on the plans, chief marketing officer Ben Padley said the company had been "successfully delivering year-on-year growth for over 15 years, and now we want to help our customers in other areas of their homes. Our next move will be across the landing, bringing our philosophy of designer products at internet prices to the bedroom.

"These changes to our brand and website have been made to help enhance the customer's journey and to give them the confidence in the choices they are making, both in terms of products and in us."
