MFI officially returns to the market today as an online-only home furnishings retailer.
The MFI brand was bought by Walker Capital in 2010 after the retailer went into administration in November 2008. The company owns a number of brands including online and mail order bathroom retailer Victoria Plumb.

A management team has been developing the relaunch of MFI for nearly two years, headed up by commercial director Arian Storr, who has 15 years' retail experience, including nine years at MFI.

A statement from the company said: "The online launch has been designed following market research which suggested that customers are happy to purchase home furnishings online as long as the products are of high quality, they are affordable and the customer service is first class. MFI have identified quality suppliers and developed a service that is second to none."

The MFI offer includes bedroom furniture, bathrooms and sofas but currently excludes kitchens.

Customers shopping on the website can stipulate a preferred delivery date when an order is made, and track the delivery at every stage.
