Tileflair acquires KDP Tiles

Published: 2 December 2010
Bristol-based tile supplier Tileflair Group has acquired KDP Tiles Ltd based in Chandlers Ford for an undisclosed sum.
Tileflair acquires KDP Tiles
KDP was established in 1999 by Keith and Denise Pitts and operates a distribution service from premises in Chandlers Ford which include a trade counter and showroom.

The acquisition takes Tileflair's outlets to 10, all in the south and south west of England.
Tileflair group chairman Peter Broadhurst said: "The acquisition of this company represents an important strategic step in Tileflair's growth plan. It strengthens and consolidates our position as the major independent tile distributor in the South and South West of England. Tileflair is committed to solid, sustainable growth seeking out and making the most of suitable opportunities whenever and wherever they arise."

Former owners Keith and Denise Pitts will remain actively involved in the business in sales and administration roles whilst Tileflair employee, Nick Edwards, has been appointed General Manager of KDP.

Mr Pitts said: "We believe it was the right time for KDP to become part of a larger group. Tileflair has a high quality management team and I am confident this move will enable KDP to flourish in the future."
