The Range set to move in as Homebase shuts Notts store

Published: 11 June 2014
Homebase's Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire store is the latest to be earmarked for closure.
The Range is reportedly set to take over the premises in Station Road after Homebase moves out, though no date for this has been given, and employees are being given the chance to apply for a job with the incoming company.

In a statement, Homebase said: "This proposed closure is part of the normal management of our store portfolio. This announcement means there is a period of consultation for colleagues affected by this proposal.

"As part of our agreement The Range will invite all colleagues affected by the process for an interview. Where possible we will also look to redeploy any affected colleagues at nearby Homebase and Argos stores."
