The GCA to announce its new chief executive

Published: 5 November 2013
The Garden Centre Association will finalise and announce its choice of chief executive on November 28.
The organisation has said that interviews are "on-going" to fill the position.

Chairman of the GCA, Peter Burks, said: "We have had a good number of high quality candidates from within the industry apply for the role. The proposed candidate will be presented to the GCA Executive Committee on November 28. An announcement will be made following this."

The chief executive position has been covered since October 2012 on an interim basis by Iain Wylie, who was previously the managing director at Grosvenor Garden Centre in Chester. He took over following the departure of Phil Slinger.
