The set features an aquamarine-glaze ceramic teapot and four matching cups, packaged in an elegant bamboo wood box. Also included with the tea set is an information booklet on how to perform a Japanese tea ceremony.

UK designer Alison Appleton designed the Geisha tea set exclusively for La Cafetière, which specialises in products and accessories for hot drinks.

Commenting on winning one of this year's Industry Awards, Liz Jones, La Cafetière's product manager, said: "We're honoured that the Geisha tea set has been chosen as one of the Industry Award's Silver winners.

"This prestigious award is a real testament to the tremendous design skills of Alison Appleton and underlines our commitment to provide some of the very best products and accessories for hot drinks on the market.

"La Cafetière now has an exciting and expanding range of products for tea, coffee and chocolate - so look out for lots more future award winners."

Approximate retail price of the Geisha Tea Set is £25.
