Published: 18 November 2015

Two directors of Floors-2-Go have been handed suspended prison sentences after the retail chain collapsed into administration for a third time.

Suspended prison sentences for Floors-2-Go directors

Brothers Robert and Richard Hodges were given the sentences at the High Court after failing to cooperate with the liquidator in handing over documents following the business' latest collapse last July.

It emerged that the two men, along with fellow directors Parjinder Sangha and David Vizor, had taken hundreds of thousands of pounds out of Floors-2-Go owner Nixon & Hope.

All four directors were found to be in contempt of court. Sangha was fined £4,500 and Vizor £1,800. Robert Hodges was given a six-month suspended jail sentence and his brother received a four-month suspended sentence.

The judge in the case also ordered the directors to pay £250,000 to the company.
