Suspected new boss for Home Retail Group
Sky News said it understands that the managing director of Argos, John Walden, is expected to take over at the helm of HRG after long-serving ceo Terry Duddy announced he would be stepping down.

After a four-month search to fill the role, there are rumours that Mr Walden was the board's preferred choice and that the official announcement will come with HRG's Christmas trading update on Thursday.

It has been reported that Mr Walden's possible new role comes after a successful recent period for Argos.

Check diyweek.net on Thursday for the official announcement and news of Homebase and Argos's Christmas trading.
