Security retailer closes its doors

Published: 11 October 2007
Castle Security Services in Newcastle, Staffordshire closed last week.
The owners of the locksmiths, Brian and Carol Steele, have retired.

Carole Steele told diyweek.net the decision was taken after "many happy years" of running the business.

"I would like to thank all of our customers and it's sad to leave," she said, "however, it's time for us to call it a day."

She added that the business had sold off most of the stock, but the couple had kept a few unwanted pieces as momentos.

In answer to what their plans are for thier leisure time, Mrs Steele said: "I don't know to be honest, I'm sure we'll find something - a holiday springs to mind."
