Quality tools from Makita

Published: 22 May 2018

Makita is a leading world class brand of power tools and accessories known for quality, performance and durability with over 100 years of experience. Makita produces many of its tools at the company’s manufacturing plant in Telford, Shropshire including jigsaws, sanders, circular saws, plunge saws – both mains and cordless.

Amongst the British-made inventory are some of the electric hedge trimmer models featuring both 550 watt and 700 watt motors, the former driving the 45cm, 55cm and 65cm long double-action, double-sided blades at up to 1,600 strokes per minute and the 700 watt motor powering the 55cm, 65cm and 75cm long blades at 1,500 strokes per minute. The double blade means that the Makita trimmer will cut on either side of the blade for improved efficiency and speed of operation and will cut through a 21mm hedge branch.
