QD Stores acquires Roman Way garden centre

Published: 20 September 2012
Nottingham-based QD Stores recently bought the Roman Way garden centre in Milton Keynes.
Roman Way, which is located on a freehold seven acre site, was sold with planning consent to almost double the existing 15,000 sq ft of sales space. Retail and garden centre specialist property consultants Gilbert Evans advised on the deal.

Mike Gilbert said: "QD Stores has made no secret of its desire to expand. It's a logical fit within the QD network and the centre will suit them well."

The garden centre is believed to have a turnover in the region of £900,000.
