Solus garden stalwart joins Stax

Solus stalwart and highly experienced garden sector Key Accounts Manager, Terry Murphy, is joining Stax Trade Centres on 5th September.

Terry, who has experience at a number of high profile garden businesses including Town & Country, Tom Chambers, Arthur Bowers and Thumbs Up and for the past 8 years Solus, joins Stax as Key Accounts Manager to look after accounts including Choice and Dobbies and to develop new business.

Terry, along with Paul Conway who recently moved from Decco to Stax as Sales Executive now give Stax a total of 20 experienced sales reps, all armed with the latest technologies to quote accurately, check stock levels and place orders in the field.

Technology has been a real focal point for Stax and their development, with all online and rep orders picked and packed 24 hours a day by operatives literally armed with wrist mounted scanners, which act as a till and terminal in one. Subsequently all products in Stax branches are mapped by item location, enabling pickers to navigate the warehouse in the most efficient manner and process orders in record time.

This seamless sales process is then delivered by their expanded tail lift delivery fleet in as little as 48 hours, palletised and shrink wrapped with clearly identifiable labels.
